Four – Veronica Roth

This is a collection of short stories, based in the world of Roth’s series Divergent, told from the perspective of Four. I liked it. I didn’t think it was anything special, clearly published to squeeze more £££/$$$.

Rating 3/5
Rebel – Amy Tintera

This is the sequel to ‘Reboot’ by Amy Tintera. I don’t want to give away any plot so here’s the link to the first book! –

I was very disappointed by this. I only read it because the rating on goodreads was higher than the first one and I had a few problems with the first one so I figured, hey it may improve!
I was wrong. I was so bored throughout it.
Rating: 2/5

Everyday Sexism – Laura Bates

I LOVED THIS BOOK.
Laura Bates is fucking amazing. She set up a facebook and twitter accounts to allow both men and women express their experiences of sexism.
Reading some of these people’s experiences I felt scared, upset, scared again and in some cases I related to them.
I’m gonna do a full review in a couple of days because everyboooody need to read this book.
Rating: 5/5

The Knife of Never Letting Go -Patrick Ness

I was so disappointed by this book.
I had previous read ‘A Monster Calls’ by Patrick Ness and loved it.
I’ve had a ton of booksellers recommend this book/series to me.
And I was so disappointed.
The premise was interesting but I really didn’t like the writing. Every chapter ended on a ‘cliffhanger’ and it was really repetitive and boring.
Speaking of boring, I didn’t have any emotional connection to Todd, the protagonist. He was boring and repetitive too. The only character I did like was Viola and she was awesome.

That’s it really. Hope October is better!

Thanks for reading! 🙂
