W.W.W Wednesday! 10/12/14

Hello lovely readers!

Another bookish post for you!

Hosted by Shouldbereading, the weekly meme where you just have to answer three questions:

•What are you currently reading?
•What did you recently finish reading?
•What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I am currently in the middle of:

Gone Girl – Gillian Flynn

Truth be told, not loving this so far. Determined to finish it at some point before the film is released on DVD. I want to find out the twists and turns and all that jazz. :]

Isla and the Happily Ever After – Stephanie Perkins

Really enjoying this! Wish I didn’t have to prioritize other books but this is fab and I hope to finish it over the Christmas holidays.

The Vindication of the Rights of Women – Mary Wollstonecraft

I’m reading this as part of my research for my project on feminism. Really liking it. The writing style drags on a bit but still very resourceful.

Recently Finished

Feminism: A Very Short Introduction – Margaret Walters

A quick little guide to the roots of feminism. Also resourceful. Read it in a couple of sittings.

Politics and the English Language – George Orwell

This was fab. I would definitely recommend to writers as Orwell lists some of his do’s and dont’s of writing. More like an essay than anything along with a bonus review by Orwell of Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler.

What will you read next?

I’m hoping to finish my coursework drafts ASAP so I can read some of the books I own. At the moments the possibilities are

Vivian Versus The Apocalypse – Katie Coyle

1984 – George Orwell

Say Her Name – James Dawson

What do you think I should read next?

Have a fab week folks! 🙂

  1. When I started Gone Girl, I really disliked the main characters but wanted to know what happened to Amy so I was interested enough to keep reading- then I hit the halfway point and OH SNAP!!
