I am here with a tag today! Haven’t done one in ages, but I was tagged by Emily at alwaysopinionatedgirl – thank you for the tag!
On to the questions!
1- Water: A Book You Can’t Live Without
Definitely my well loved, battered copy of Les Miserables. The first day I started reading that beast of a book was the first time I saw them film the movie based on the musical! Samantha Barks, Aaron Tveit and Eddie Redmayne all in one place. It sounds like heaven but in reality it was a rainy day in the middle of Greenwich.
2- Food: A Book That is a Close Second on Your Favourites List
I really love the play A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare. It’s so funny and batshit bonkers, it’s so entertaining to read over and over again.
3- Shelter: A Book That Makes You Feel at Home and Safe
Anything Holly Bourne has written because fave author.
4- Flare Gun: A Book You Would Recommend to Someone Who Doesn’t Read
I’d recommend plays as they’re quick and easy to get through to start off with. My favourite contemporary play is Mojo by Jez Butterworth.
5- Fire Matches: A Book That Warms Your Heart
Where Rainbows End – Cecelia Ahern. Dat ending tho.
6- Compass: A Book That Directed You to Your Love of Reading
I credit five books for this. First is the Hunger Games trilogy. I read all 3 books in the space of a month before the first movie came out. And then when I finished Mockingjay I started reading The Hunger Games again.
I also credit The Fault In Our Stars for showing me the world that is the bookish fandom.
And I also credit Les Miserables because after finishing that 1,200 page beast I felt like I could read anything and conquer the world.
Thanks for reading everyone! I tag:
